Description
Ginger is a darling little deer mouse who discovered a gingerbread boy on Christmas Eve. She can scarcely believe her eyes! He's so large and he looks so yummy with his gooey icing, red hot buttons and sugar sprinkles.
Ginger was lovingly created from llama, merino and corriedale wool fibers tightly needle felted around a wire frame into a semi-static pose without the use of a kit or pattern. She is adorned with a removable sparkly green ribbon with white polka dots. Her whiskers are made of horse hair and her eyes are black onyx beads. Little Ginger is a little over 3 inches tall.
Ginger's cookie was fashioned from corriedale wool with glitter sprinkles and was handcrafted by me. He measures 6 inches long by 6 inches wide.
Although Ginger is very adorable and any child would love to hold her, she is recommended as an adult collectible only and is not intended as a toy.
Ginger comes unbranded and unsigned. However, as with all of my artwork, she is catalogued with her photograph and comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist, me. All artwork is copyright protected and may not be copied or reproduced in any way. R.J.Andreae © 2008

About the Artist
I stand in amazement of the sheer diversity of life that is on this earth. Each has a beauty and energy all its own. Through my artwork, I hope to share the uniqueness and beauty of each. Since animals are my muse, I find it only fitting that I give back to them. As a proud member of Art for Critters, at least 20% from all of my art sales is donated to animal charities and rescues.
As a child I spent many hours drawing all kinds of wildlife on the backs of old brown paper bags. Anything and everything was a potential canvas. As an adult, I now paint mostly on traditional canvas. I diligently study animals from life and from photos to accurately render them, while conveying each animal's unique personality.
As a self taught artist, I have illustrated for Greenpeace USA, Fund for Animals, the Santa Rosa Bird Rescue Center, and the Primate Foundation, among many others. Since June of 2003, I have become a full-time artist offering my works for sale on eBay.

I am proud to be a juried member of Art for Critters (A4C). A4C connects wildlife and animal artists with rescues and organizations that provide sanctuary and aid to animals across the globe. Please search A4C, to view more charity auctions by Art For Critters artists
