First and foremost I would like to thank the Lord for blessing me to be apart of the
incredible world of Reborns! I have met so many wonderful people and
I truly feel so Blessed to be able to share
all of my little babies
with you.
Thank you so much for stopping by my auction and taking a peek at my
newest precious creation. My name is Melissa Carlton and I am the
reborn artist behind Golden Giggles Nursery. I have lived and
breathed these amazing little babies for about 3 and a half years and I take
great pride in my work. I use only the finest materials available to
me and spare no expense. Each baby is created with special care and
great detail
I
am so excited to introduce to you baby "Abby". I have spent so much
time on this adorable baby girl and was very pleased with how
realistic and beautiful she turned out.
At
Golden Giggles Nursery I strive to bring to you the most realistic
reborns that I can. I don't get in a hurry or ever rush my process.
I use the Genesis heat set paints on all of my babies because these
colors are totally permanent and will never change color over time
I spent many hours
and multiple layers and colors of flesh paint to achieve a skin tone
that I believe is incredibly realistic and just right for Abby. It
still amazes me as I go how each baby just comes to life. I
have given her skin depth by applying the perfect amount of
mottling and bluish undertones like a real baby would have.. I then
proceeded to BLUSH, SHADE, and HIGHLIGHT her every crease and
wrinkle which to me just makes the skin come "Alive"
Abby also has tiny capillaries and veins around her eyelids and a
blotchy look on her little cheeks and around her precious eyes. She
also has bluish undertones around her little nose and mouth to make
her skin look more transparent just like a real baby! I have
lightly painted tiny veins on her face, legs, hands and feet for an
amazing realistic appearance. I worked very hard on her coloring
and was so pleased with it. She has a beautiful baby complexion and
no detail has been overlooked. When you look into her sweet little
face it will look like you are looking down into the face of a real
alive baby. It's simply amazing !!

Abby has beautiful
eyes ! I have given her "EyeCo Polymer" Eyes in a gorgeous shade of Hazel. I
then proceeded to hand apply her sweet wispy blonde lashes to match her precious
hair. When you look into her eyes you won't believe how sweet and real they
look. I have also highly detailed all the skin around her eyes like a real baby.
She has bluish/purple undertones and capillaries. I hand painted her
eyebrows in soft mini strokes to frame her precious face.

I have Micro rooted Abby's
hair in premium Blonde angora mohair. This mohair in my opinion is
the best around...I have tried a lot of hair and this is the softest silkest
hair I have ever worked with! It will feel like you are patting the top of a
real babies head. I literally rooted her hair 1-2 hairs at a
time in the natural pattern of a real babies hair. It takes days and
hours but the outcome is so real and so worth it!
I have sealed her hair from the inside so her new mommy can gently wash
and style it. Oh and it smells so good. Her new mommy is going to love it.
I
have opened Abby's little nose and backed it
with dark felt to give the appearance of
breathing with a touch of moisture.
Abby's
hands and feet have been highly detailed and
given a fresh manicure with ivory tips and then sealed with the genesis
Glaze to give them an subtle shine and sealed.
I
believe the weight of a reborn plays a big role
in the realism! I make sure my babies are
weighted heavy enough to feel like you are
holding a real baby. Abby is a chubby baby!!
and is weighted with Glass beads, polypellets
and soft polyfil. I have sewn a soft pouch of
glass beads and surrounded it with polyfil for a
realistic feel. You aren't going to believe
how REAL she feels and how snuggly she is. Her
weight distribution is even and she is not
overstuffed or too floppy. She will feel just
perfect in your arms. I
have given her a cuddly doe suede, jointed body which is
perfect for Abby. . I also weighed her vinyl limbs and precious little head
with glass beads. Her head is only slightly
wobbly and she is not overstuffed .. she
is just perfect!!
Abby will come home
wearing her beautiful Sarah Louise Smocked Dress with matching Crocheted Bootes!
I have adopted over 100 babies all over the world and my heart sincerely goes into each and every rebirth. Reborning is truly a passion for me and I hope that my love for this art form shines through each and every baby. A special thanks to all of my previous adoptive parents!
