VINTAGE 1/24 Scale slot car - VINTAGE from the 1960's in original condition being sold as is and as found. Actually I don't know for sure of the Make but it is a Super-Clean Aluminum Swing Arm Chassis. Cox? Riggen? MY LAST VINTAGE CAR/CHASSIS...
Vintage 1/24 scale electric slot car from the early/mid 1960s. This car is in VERY good condition for its age and many years of storage. It is the last of my vintage slot cars that I got from my Brother-in-Law. I oiled the rear axle and the motor runs smoothly in spite of a split gear on the rear axle. The body says "Powered by Mura" but I cannot tell for sure what motor this is. The rear gear is marked RIGGEN and the guide is marked COX.
Description: This is a nice early slot carfrom the early/mid 1960's. The car is in very good shape for it's age and has been in storage for many years. Front rubber Tires are in very good shape. The rear tires are sponge and the edges are a little cobbled up, and I'm sure they are too dry to run so most likely they need to be replaced. Both front and rear axles are the threaded type with acorn nuts on the end holding the wheels on. The aluminum chassis is SUPER CLEAN. The motor has a piece of speaker wire running to the guide, no doubt done by a 12-year-old about fourty years ago. I have not attempted to restore in any way other than to oil the rear axle/bushings and put some power to the brushes. What you see is what you'll get. This is a very nice old slot car. I have run this on the 1965 Monogram track and it does in fact work. The body is plastic and looks pretty crappy (to be completely honest) and it has a "tray" interior - driver's head is intact.
Size: 1/24 Scale.
Condition: The car has been raced. It has been in storage for many, many years. Super Clean for its age - Motor works.
