American Flyer K5358W Chalenger Steam Freight Train. Year 1953. Excellent condition.
(1) Set Box - K5358W - set number is clear and readable. Black and yellow label. All four corners are strong. Bin number is Bin787. Year 1953. Set was sold in Johnstown, PA. Box has some writing on the top and some small black marks. Box is in very good + condition.
(1) 336 Challenger Engine - has all original handrails and running gear. White line down running boards has some small paint chips and wear. Both number boards are present. Tender - has all four steps. Has all handrails. Knuckle coupler is fine. Has original wiring to engine. I have not tested engine or horn. Engine has large motor. Engine and tender in excellent minus condition. (1) Brown Engine Wrapper - reads 336 Union Pacific Loco & Tender w/Choo Choo, Smoke Whislte & Pulmor. Description is clear and readable. Wrapper in very good + condition.
(1) 922 Box Car - no chips or breaks in catwalk. Both knuckle couplers are fine. One small paint chip and a scratch on the roof. No rust on car floor. Car is in excellent minus condition. (1) Car Box - 922 Box Car - description is clear and readable. Has all side tabs and end flaps. Box in very good + condition.
(1) 931 Gondola - all four steps are present. Both knuckle couplers are fine. Car is in excellent condition. (1) Car Box - 931 Gondola - description is clear and readable. Box is misisng one side tab. Box in very good condition.
(1) 921 Hopper Car - has all four steps. Description is clear on both sides. Car is in excellent condition. (1) Car Box - 921 Coal Car - description is clear and readable. Has all side tabs and end flaps. Box in very good + condition.
(1) 947 Refrigerator Car - no chips or breaks in catwalks. Decal on each side is 100 %. Car floor shows some tarnish areas. Car in excellent minus condition. (1) Car Box - 947 Refrigerator Car - description is clear and readable. Has all side tabs and end flaps. Box in very good + condition.
(1) 924 Cement Car - has all four steps. Description is clear on both sides. Small paint chip at the one end of the catwalk. Knuckle couplers are fine. Car in excellent condition.
